Piller and Active Power join forces at Data Centre World 2017, London.
According to the Organisers, the 2-day event, which combines Cloud Expo, Smart IOT and Big Data, was attended by over 20,000 industry experts, achieving a higher footfall than in 2016.
Over the two days, Piller made two presentations in the events theatre. On day 1 “Batteries not Included” dealt with the benefits and emergence of kinetic energy storage technology as a viable alternative to conventional battery technology and on day 2 “Isolated Parallel-Bus – The Topology of Choice for Data Centres” highlighted the advantages of combining isolated-redundant and parallel-redundant UPS configurations in data centre applications where high operational efficiencies are critical and space is at a premium.
Kevin Chapman, Sales Director - Piller UK: “The addition of the Active Power business demonstrates Piller’s increased presence in the UK Power Conditioning market. We were pleased to meet a number of existing Active Power customers who in some cases were looking to expand their facilities, but to all it was the ideal opportunity to reassure these customers the Active Power business has passed into safe hands”.
