Every Active Power integrated diesel system incorporates a redundant engine starting system to complement the engine starter batteries. GenSTART is powered from the output of the UPS system. This means that when the UPS is operating you are guaranteed maximum starting power to the engine.

GenSTART is completely maintenance free and can start the engine even if the engine starter batteries are removed or damaged, a further demonstration of the attention to detail that has gone into the design of this reliable power system.
