Piller reports a strong first quarter for Active Power division

Following the acquisition of Active Power in November 2016, Piller's new division is settling in well.

All reorganisation measures to incorporate the former NASDAQ company's business into Piller's North American operation were completed during the first quarter.

Sales also met expectations in the first quarter with the new division indicating enhanced growth and profitability moving into Q2.

Dean Richards, President and CEO, Piller Power Systems Inc:

“The staff have come together to form a galvanized and highly motivated group spurred on by the excitement the merge has created. The sales, service and project infrastructures for Active Power clients have all been strengthened by the acquisition and there are now double the number of service technicians in the USA alone.”

The new breadth of the combined product offerings has created wider interest with Piller and Active Power customers alike. Aided by the network of international sister companies in Asia Pacific and Europe, the Active Power CleanSource and XT products are positioned better than ever to support the increasing demand for kinetic energy backed UPS systems.

“We are looking forward to a successful first year for Active Power as part of the Piller Group."

said Andrew Dyke, Managing Director, Global Business, Piller Group.

"The integration of the US manufacturing into Piller Power Systems Inc and the overseas subsidiaries into the Group structure in general has been effective and if anything, exceeded expectations”
