Active Power delivers solution to top ranked MA pediatric hospital
A top pediatrics children's hospital in Massachusetts has once again selected Active Power UPS solution to deploy two Active Power CleanSource Multi-Module 600Z UPS systems at their new Imaging Center.
In addition to being a well renowned children's general facility, the hospital is a leading children's specialty care teaching centre, ranked #1 by U.S. News & World Report.
Power fluctuations in an imaging center can affect patient care, patient scheduling, time sensitive testing, revenue loss and can cause sensitive equipment failures, so downtime is a very critical issue.
The facility will also be installing two additional Active Power CleanSource HD675 UPS systems for their Critical Bus.
As technology advances, so does the quality of care. The need for high density computing with “big data” storage is key in addition to health services for a hospital. The need to organize and analyze massive digital records grows daily while at the same time milliseconds has become the standard for both performance and responsiveness.
Bard, Rao + Athanas Consulting Engineers, who have specified many Active Power UPS systems for medical applications, have supported the use of Active Power UPS in hospital applications stating they are both energy & space efficient and more reliable, enabling the hospital to devote less space to power protection and fewer dollars to the utility company.
