Competitive Response to Recent Pentadyne Announcement (7/30/08)Pentadyne Power Corporation issued a press release on July 30, 2008, which suggests Active Power has been unseated as the leader in flywheel energy storage. Active Power is committed to high efficiency UPS and power quality solutions that replace less efficient, less reliable and less environmentally sensitive battery based solutions. The real competition in the UPS market is incumbent technology and resistance to change. In that spirit, we are happy to see Pentadyne grow.
